Title: knapped dacite knife blade
Post by: horatio1226 on August 28, 2008, 07:48:00 PM
I haven't seen any knapped knives here for a while so I thought I would show off a blade I received in a trade from a friend named Dustin Devine. It is 6" long from high grade dacite. Very sharp and thin. I mounted it into a deer leg bone.

That looks awesome!  Most of us here can't work stone, and you do a fine job.  Dan

I wish I could do work this fine! This was done by a feller named Dustin Devine. Hey that rhymes!

Beautiful point there Brian. There are certainly a lot of excellent knappers out there these days.
I just finished up putting together a couple of obsidian knives. I'll have to get some pics up.
