After my last attempt with Ironwood & Damascus, which didn't turn out 100% I thought I ought to try again.
Toby Crocker (His Tobyness, hobby bladesmith & farrier extrordinaire :notworthy: ) supplied me with some stunning ladder damscus & another slab of Ironwood, he had kicking around. After a few PM'd conversations we figured out what had gone wrong with my last etch attempt & Toby gave me instructions for his mix (15N20 & 20C)
I received the billet yesterday morning & had it to this stage by last night....

Once again, a huge, huge thank you goes to Toby for the materials & help along the way. I think I may have finally figured this 'mascus lark out! :D
