Here are two new ones I just recieved from custom knife maker Lynn Dawson. Both are her blade design and filework in damascus, I gave her complete artistic freedom for the handle materials....I wasn't disappointed in the end results.

I'm pretty picky about knives and these two are two of the few knives I would not change anything about. They are both very functional pieces of art and I feel blessed to have them. Now if I can convince Bo to quit working on saddles long enough to sew me two new sheaths I'll be ready to get some blood on them this season.
Beautiful knives. What is the handle material in the top knife?
JC, you're hoding out on us!!!!! First Chases' quiver and now this......What's next???? Where're on for this week-end, Tell chase to get ready to have some fun.....
simply stunning
LC it looks like buckeyburl
Beautiful...hope to see those in bear camp!
Very nice!!
I own 1 Dawson myself, very well made knives. It one of my go to knives.
Is the bottom redwood burl??Looks like the same wood I used for a knife awhile back, beautiful grain in the wood.
Freakin' awesome!!!! Love that buckeye(?) burl on top! Beautiful knives!
WOW!!! I like both of them but I really like the bottom one!
JC, do you knoe what the wood in the top knife is? It's awesome looking.
Very sweet knives JC. Lewis I just knew which knife you would like best!LOL<><
JC, That bottom one looks like the Bigger Skinner you showed me on the last year's bear hunt. You keep pushing my inventory...already got pictures & cardboard silhouettes filed away :D Doc
Frank you know me all to well! LOL
I really like the curves drop pn the blade. I have made a few like that. I just really like the looks of that blade style.
Doc, it's a lot like that one only a bit smaller in blade and a better handle in my opinion. Haven't put this new one to the tes but I bet it will work like the other....a champ at skinning. I'll bring it for more patterns.
Yes, the upper knife is buckeye burl...and a really sweet piece at that. Handle contours have to be felt and seen to be fully appreciated. Needless to say, it fits like a piece of playdo (that is, actually better than a glove). Not sure what the lower handle is...can't remember what she told me.
Lewis, I really like that kind of blade too. And Doc became a fan after using my other skinner...you have to try to cut through a pelt with that blade shape.
Thanks for the comments guys...but the credit goes to Lynn. she is an excellent steel artist.
nice
Really nice, JC! But they need blood on them.
Dan
