I am currently working on a knife (#2) for my grandfather that will have dymondwood scales. Is there anything I need to be aware of when working with dymondwood? Anything special done to it before epoxying to the blade?
I attached dymondwood the same as any other wood. I didn't like the smell as I worked it. You might want to wear a dust mask.
Yep, the smell is pretty rough. I've attached it and bo problems yet. Still need shaping.
how bout some pics?
MAybe some pics this evening. I need to shape and sand it first. But, the effect is supposed to be red, white, blue!
Can't wait to see the pictures!

OK, its done other than sharpening and making a sheath. Its for my patriotic grandfather who is a WWII veteran and P.O.W. I know he will be pleased, he doesn't know its coming. can't wait to see the look on his face. Its a 4" handle and a 5" blade.
