Title: Gonna try my hand.....
Post by: fireman_3311 on January 11, 2008, 10:21:00 AM
at a little knife building!!!  No, not going to be firing up a forge just yet, I'm taking the easy way out...lol. Found a decent deal on some Russell blades, from Green River!!! Ordered these worth the money, and will use this piece of Osage for the first batch, see how they turn out!!! Don't think I'll be puttin any pro's outta bidness, but ya gotta start somewhere!!!

5" Hunter at top
5" Buffalo Skinner
2 4" Beartooth Paring blades at bottom.

The 4" blades will make dandy caping knives!!! I bought a bigger Buffler Skinner up in Nebraska last fall, and it's a dandy at taking apart those buffler roasts!!!!!!

That's a great place to start Brad but be careful, knife building is addicting, never know where it'll end  ;)
