Above you will find a quote from today's Greenville News. I think this is really a bad idea because it puts the dogs in the woods at the same time as our archery/muzzleloader deer season. Can you imagine the conflicts that will arise when someone turns a pack of dogs lose in an area that someone is bowhunting?
Brian
Post contact information for the committee involved. Contact you bow hunting groups in SC and get numbers for the archery/muzzleloader hunter licenses sold. Good luck.
Anyone who is concerned should call the SC DNR at 864 654-1671. Ask to speak to Skip Stil. Skip is the bear biologist. Be polite, but let him know how you feel.

What is the bill number?
Hello Hit some miss some, from Seneca. good to know I have a tradganger so close. I know Skip and was not aware of this proposal. I'm for changes in the bear hunting laws like more than 1 week of still bear hunting. I'm not for bear training during any hunting season, you're right that would create problems.
To me this qualifies as harrassment of wildlife!!!
