Ok Gang I am planning a 2007 Ontario black bear hunt and would like to have a couple or three Trad Gang brothers go along. Anybody interested can email me or PM me and I'll give you all the details.

How many spots are still open? Do you need a passport to drive into Canada? I know you need one to fly now. I can't get one because of having an outstanding student loan balance.

I don't think you need one yet to drive across the border. You definily need a valid picture ID. I have not been over there in several years.

I used to work with a guy that commuted from Windsor. I'll see what I can find out.

Currently you only need a certified copy of your birth certificate with the raised stamp on it AND a social security card and/or drivers license to cross the border to Canada.

I checked the map, this place is wayyy off the beaten path. Nice country and mid Sept. is a beautiful time to be in Northern Ontario

One idea for suppers....on a past elk hunt, everyone brought one big dish for one big supper, enough to feed everyone...One guy brought fajita's for one nite, I made ham and beans, another brought chili, etc...worked pretty good!!! Just a thought....

I am really looking forward to this trip. The last time I went to Ontario for bear was 1995 and I was the only guy not shooting a compound.

Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new.

Ahh the tooth. I can't believe I am actually looking forward to a root canal next week. According to my dentist, my number 30 tooth (for all you in the dental field) which is a molar is cracked front to back th entire length. That leaves the nerve hanging in the breeze. Ouch!

The time will go by pretty fast guys. next thing you know =it will the week before we are scheduled to go and then we will all be going nuts.
