Well we don't get antelope on our place very often this time of year so when I saw the bunch of does and a buck bedded out in the bottom I dropped everything else and went after them.
As usual when I tried putting the sneak on the bunch an old doe busted me at 40+ yards and took the whole bunch toward the neighbors fence. As usual I stood up and watched them go but when I looked over the little bank I was on I saw the unusual.
This little buck was standing all by himself looking like he was plumb disgusted with the ladies. To top it all off when I drew and shot he just stood there. Well it was a little too far and a little too windy and I hit just at the back of the rib cage broadside. You guessed it out of the vitals but as I watched he ran a hundred yards or so and bedded.
Over the next four hours I jumped him three times trying to get another shot into him and finally succeded just before dark after he bedded in a boulder field instead of the short grass.
Well it's my second speed goat of the year and I'm out of tags :D :D

Congratulations! What other tags you got up your sleeve, way out there in scenery country?
Great job Doug!
Don't know how you do it. I've had trouble getting close enough for a shot both times I've tried for them.
Well there's your trouble Roger, ya get those tries up around 50 or 60 your bound to find a dumb one ;)
Just deer, bear and cougar left Woodie.
