I was just asked to resign my youth pastor position. I do believe God was in it and that this is for the best I just don't know what I am going to do now. So I am looking for part time work and hoping to find something that will help me make enough for my wife and I to be ok. Please pray that I will have wisdom to know what the Lord wants me to do. God Bless all Tyler Dixon.

Sad times: I've seen several churches release even full-time pastors as the economy has tanked people's giving... isn't it interesting that when things are at their worst, so many will turn to God, but then quit Giving to his work?
Prayers for discernment, peace and direction. You're not alone!

I would think your church organization would be looking to find you a postition within it's organization. It is what my denomination does for it's pastors.
A prayer is on it's way.
Prayers sent Brother!
Trust in the Lord, be strong, and have courage!
Amen.

tyler you already know when one door closes another opens. to his deciples that are willing to witness, he always has position. he certainly doesn't need us, but we were made to be part of the body. everything WILL be better, he is faithful, just keep pressing on tyler to the prize that's been layed up for you. i belonged to a church a few years back and in a short time 2 deacons, a youth pastor and some of the long time members were called away, or simply left. sad to say as i look back that the church has gone from 100 plus to around 40. i don't know if there was a problem but GOD sees the big picture. i do believe he seperates the flock sometimes so we will branch out. the gospel wouldn't have gone out to the whole world if his deciples had stayed in one place. he does have a ministry for you. stay strong and remain faithful. i went through a divorce(not my choice), my pastors wife said john GOD has a plan for you. i told her i felt lead to start a clown ministry, she said really? there is a church that's started a clown troop, i joined. that was only 2 days after i talked to her. coincidence? no! i will continue praying for you
Prayers sent God will show you which path to continue on.
In HIS service

Thank for all the encouraging words guys.
i am a Baptist pastor just a little north and west of you. I will be praying for you. Let us know how things are working out. God has plans. It is not for us to know them, but to act accoringly to his direction.
If you move over my way, give me a call, everything will work out....
Continued prayers. Some great words here and insights shared.

The pastor at our church I heard is going to step down do to health reasons. I'll keep you informed about the situation as I recieve any news. It is a small baptist church with a parsonage. Got to wonder if this might be one of those doors. Also the hunting is great around here.
It is so hard to see when you are in the midst of these stressful events. Someday you will look back and see all the things that He arranged to get you where He wants you.
