Title: He has RISEN!
Post by: Doc Nock on April 04, 2010, 07:37:00 AM
Waking up to a beautiful morning this Resurrection Sunday and to the realities of one close to me in bad straights, made me stop and reflect:

Amist all the trials we face, TODAY, today even in the face of tears, trials, heartaches and worries over others in need, I can stop and realize as Grandma used to sing from some old hymn, "This world is not my home, ...is not my resting place"

HE IS RISEN! This time here is only to help bring others into His Glory. His Command to "love others as He has loved us", echoes in my ears.

From the bottom of my heart, "Thank You!" to so many over the past 5-7 years, who through Dad's ailments, mom's short battle with cancer and passing, the employment challenges that don't quit, you all have been here, on the site and in PM's, providing Christian love, support and ministering to a Lost Sheep.

May God bless each of you according to your needs.

Thank you Lord, for the gift of your Son by whom we have everlasting life.

Please, enjoy this True Easter Story and let your burdens be lifted by Christ and a bit of humor.

Last Easter Sunday at about 1 PM, my wife and I were walking the dog towards a friend's house.

David and Brenna Campbell are a couple in their early thirties with five children. Their second youngest is Mary. She was 3 1/2 - 4 yrs old at the time. She has a rat's nest of toe headed curls, huge sparkling blue eyes and a engaging smile and attitude. She calls me Mr. Hampton.

Like little girls often do, she talks a mile a minute with no separation between words.

She met me outside her home and said "Circumcision!" Confused I said,"excuse me"? She replied, "Circumcision"! Surprised, I leaned forward, putting my hands on my knees, in an attempt to get to her level and also to lean in and hear her better; again I said, "excuse me"? Once more she said, with great enthusiasm, "Circumcision"!

At his time, her Mother walked up to greet me with Easter tidings. Before she could speak, I leaned over to Brenna's right ear and said, why is Mary yelling "Circumcision"?.

Brenna roared with laughter. She laughed so hard a tear ran down her leg. After composing herself, Brenna said;

"Christ is Risen!"

"Mr. Hampton"...that is precious. Made me smile big time!

Circumcision indeed! Out of the mouth of Babes!

Thank you, Sir. I needed that. I'm sure others will enjoy...

Mary is a sweet little girl. Her parents are devout Christians that home school. All of their 5 kids are great testaments to God's Glory
