Title: Shreds

When my life feels like its in shreds, blown apart like a house that was hit by a tornado.
I come here and read. I read of your trials and heartaches, I get up tuck the loose ends and go on. Yeah its pretty much shredded, but I'm still on the green side of the grass and fighting.
Thanks for everyone,I think about what I have read as the miles roll past, and quietly in my way offer requests.    Bernie

SEems to be a time of transition and trial for so many... I pray it's not a fortelling of what lies ahead for this country...but tougher time are indeed ahead for many. We've had it better'n my parents ever dreamed...and now the "pay the fiddler" time seems to be upon us.

Hang in there. God doesn't give more'n we can take..just way more'n we ever bargained for. I guess that is why they call it "faith."

I have read many posts and realize how tough life is for some of our brothers and sisters. I am strengthened by their faith and stamina.

Over the last five years my life has been a real trial. I could write a book about all the difficulties me and mine have faced...many would find it heart-wrenching and walk away from it crying.

I don't see it that way, though. I live by the 4:8 Principle.(Phillipians 4:8 that is)

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things"

When tragedy strikes us, we naturally go through a healing process that includes some negative thoughts.

I submit to you that by living your life following the instructions given in that short verse that contains so much, you can change your future.

By thinking of yourself as a unique and wonderful child of God, placed here for a purpose, placed here to lead others by example and to fulfill your destiny in achieving great things in work, relationships, family, children, business, whatever you choose to do-  retrain yourself to see the good, the best, the possible, rather than dwelling in failures, disappointments, and tragedy. You will achieve more in your life that is positive than you probably now would even dare dream of.

I humbly submit to you this is possible..no matter what state of mind you are in today.

Wow...Ray...that is a great testament...and a bit of a deserved smack across the back of the head...or a "Gibbs slap" for those NCIS fans among us!  :)

I've lost site of that in hte past few weeks and have just felt beaten down and tired... rather resigned and "waiting" to see what's next.

Instead, reading your words, I see that I indeed, must rally again and give a "praise sacrifice" (ain't a sacrifice if it doesn't cost something) and relish what I have more fully and more faithfully.  

I've rested on being grateful, but have lost some of the "faith" that I have a purpose..have to redouble there.

Not easy to admit publicly, but felt I had to in case some others have doubts creeping in as to "self-worth".
