Title: I have a good friend in Southern California
Post by: Ray Hammond on February 20, 2008, 04:58:00 PM
I need you to pray for him. He found out yesterday just how soulless corporate America can be.

Please pray that he finds a job that challenges him, stirs the creative juices in him, that makes him want to get up in the morning and get after it!

And he has kids, a wife, and a mortgage so he needs your prayers.

Thanks for your prayers for my bud.

Prayers for your freind and his family.  It is an unfortunate and all too common story that you are telling.  God bless you for offering him up to the Lord for prayers.

Melissa said a mouthful there about "too common."

May we not lay up our storehouses in this realm.

May God's plan for your friend, Ray, be to soon be reunited in work and joy. Meantime, may the Holy spirit keep him and his family united and in good health.

Praying that God will open those doors that will motivate your friend to use all of the talents and gifts that He has given him. It is something that is grossly overlooked in many of our lives. We can and must honor the Lord in our work ethic and put mediocrity in its proper place. Our "job" takes on a different perspective when we realize that "whatever you do, do as to the Lord" is true. And it is true not only in a spiritual sense, but in a very practical way provides for the needs for us, our families, and even the society that we live in. I will pray that your friend will "find a job that challenges him, stirs the creative juices in him, that makes him want to get up in the morning and get after it!" And not only for him but for all of us who needs to be reminded of this privilege and responsibilty.... John

Praying for your friend, his family and their future. I will pray that God would reveal His plan. Pass on to him this verse I stand on seems like every day.
Jer 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to proper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future"

May Yeshua fill all his needs and may the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead fill his very soul with joy, peace and victory!
