First of all i want to say thank you to everyone here. We found out yesterday that my Daddy has colon cancer and he will undergo surgery monday to remove the infected area, about 6 inches of his colon. My Daddy is the one that introduced to traditional archery ten years ago and i haven't looked back. I was one "those" guys shooting with training wheels and laughed at trad archery thinking that you could never harvest an animail with one, until i started shooting them. My Dad was the one that helped me with my technique and told that if i wanted to be consistent that i had to practice and practice and practice and practice some more. The first two months after picking up a recurve he told me shoot at ditch bank at 10 feet, at first i thought this was crazy, but come to find out he was exactly right. It helped me to get a solid anchor everytime. I hunt with my Daddy every chance i get and although i harvest a few more deer than he does now, he gets much more excitement for me killing one than him.
He means the world to me and i would like to ask you to remember him in your prayers.
THANK YOU

Dad's are special and the one who teach us the most about the outdoors build strongest bonds perhaps. It seems that way to us of the outdoors!
May the Lord grant total control over this miserable cancer, the devil's own doing, I'm sure. May He minister to the surgical team, that their hands be guided to get it all cut out. May the Holy Spirit fill your dad, and each of you who love him with strength, peace, joy and hope to weather that which follows in recovery and further treatment.
BY Jesus' stripes, and those who claim His covenant, may your Dad be totally healed through faith in He that can do all things.
Peace. Keep the Son in your eyes!
