I realized today that I am a sucker. I cannot walk away from an old bow. There's something magic about the bows of yesterday. It started with a 70's something Kodiak Magnum, gifted to me by my father in law, I was fascinated by the quality bow that Fred Bear and his craftsmen were able to produce in such large numbers at their plant in Grayling. Every little thing was perfect, all the way down to the cracks in the finish and the nicks from years of use.
Since then, I have acquired a few neat bows and today I stumbled across another. It is a 45# Zebra wood recurve that was made for Sears. It's looks have me thinking it was made by Indian Archery and modeled after their Seneca line.
When I bought it, I had intentions of trying my first refinishing job but, after shooting it awhile, I'm gonna let it be. No sense in fixing it if it isn't broken. :archer2:
