These are my 2 latest buys.
1965 Kodiak
1968 Super Kodiak
My question is:
What makes the Super Kodiak that much different from the original Kodiak that Bear called it Super?

Marketing. :dunno:
Different Materials and Marketing.
Both, FINE Shooting and nice looking bows!
Both bows very high quality. The first Super Kodiaks had very refined craftmanship with lots of detail.
You have a nice collection going. :)
To my eye.....if you remove the "horns" from the back of 65,66 Kodiaks, and the Super Kodiaks you have a 1961/1962 Kodiak.
Lynn those are beautys and great finds. Ron.
Pretty much marketing in my eyes. In '67 when the Kodiak became the Super Kodiak, they also introduced the Kodiak Hunter at a price point between the Grizzly and the Super.
Other than material, there is little difference between the 65/66 and the Supers..
I never really noticed any change in workmanship Kodiak vs Super K,, But the Hunter obviously saw less finish
Sorry, posted to wrong thread, so I removed this :knothead:
I agree with raghorn
