1966...99.9% sure.
If the glass is green its a 1965 if its brown its a 1966. First Number looks like a six in the serial number that would make it a 1966.
Also the '65s used a diffent wood in the riser with more figure to it. Forgot the species though.

It is easy to see the brown glass between the white overlays on the 1966 riser.
Nice grain in the riser wood on the belly side. So many of the 1966 Kodiaks have such plain grain they are not eye appealing.
Get an original string and you will really be in business for a 1966 re-enactment.
Thanks y'all!
Nice bow. Take great care of it and rent it to me in 2016 for my 50 year hunting please.
And btw, did you use a Bear Polar to shoot the Polar Bear?

LOL on the play on words for the bear polar/ polar bear....I have not harvested any game with a vintage Bear bow yet, although it is a goal to do so.. except a whitetail with a 76er, back in 1976
1966 Kodiak.
I traded a 65# for a #55 with Steve S.
Fantastic trade as both bows were gorgeous....
I am refinishing it's twin right now. 1966
