With the curved stripe and first number of the serial (looks like a "2" to me), then I believe it's a 1972.
Thanks the serial number is either HK, KK, KH, or HH followed by 2401. I can't distinguish the cursive H's and K's. not sure if it matters. Thanks
It is the standard "HH" that stands for Howatt Hunter. I quess Blackhawk is sayin the 1st digit "2" says it is a '72. So, would that make it the 401st bow made that year?
well that makes sense, DUH!!! Appreciate it
yep. 1972 and the 401st one made that year...and should be HH.
Damon Howatt, and then Martin, have put out a hellava lot of Hunters over the years, and they remain one of the best hunting bows ever made.
I have one that is HH 2390. Must have been made at about the same time. I used to sell them and this one was sold between 1972 and 1980.
Leslie,
I have a bow exactly like that as well and it is a real shooter! Do I read it right, it's 45# at 28"?
OkKeith
yep, it is 45 pounds. I really like it and it is in mint condition, but I don't shoot it too much. Kinda shooting a longbow now. Did miss a deer with it last year however. I am good at that missing :-)
Anyone have guesses on the woods, will try to do some bigger Pics. Excuse the feet!!

Feet are nothing; lately I am having trouble keeping my belly out of pics like that.

I agree Bubinga. Very nice looking bow. KY
If I remember correctly they were Bubinga ana Shedula.
As best I can remember they are Shedula and Bubinga
Nice looking. Can't go wrong with those Hunters!
