I picked up a 1969 LH 55lb Super Kodiak Factory Camo bow a couple of months ago. I've been considering having the bow refinished. The original camo is in about 85% condition, a couple of small rub marks off one side of the riser. What would you do?
When you say refinished what do you mean? Touch up on the camo or stripping it and having a clear finish applied?
I personally would have it touched up and call it good.
'69 Super K = Great
LH = Great (Not for me though)
55# = Great
Factory Camo = Wow
Tough question.Maybe I would like to have both:a camo and a wooden one.
Keep the camo and touch it up a little. I would imagine there are far fewer factory camo bows than shiney ones.
Thanks for the replies. I was talking about stripping and putting a clear finish on the bow.
here's one of my all time favorite personal bows the mighty 1964 Bear Kodiak half and half aka the lizard king bd (http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii175/bowdocsarchery/camo002.jpg)
Doc, that's a good look.
