Just returned home from 4runr's house with my new bow. It is the 59 grizzly he wrote about in his recent post here on the Trad History forum. It is the second bow he wrote about the one that was found in a trash can 15 years ago. Wow what a bow. Kenny did an outstanding job refinishing it, it probably did not look this good new. And the best is it shoots as good as it looks. THANKS Kenny great job.
Hey! That's great; but you know the rules.....no bragging about bows without pics.
Sorry im computer challenged cant post pics. The pics of the bow are in this forum the "59 renewal" by 4runr. It is the second bow on the post
I'll keep you out of Bjorn's dog house.

Here's a pic before the wrap went on. I love the Rosewood in this pic.
I know the Kodiaks are more popular than the Grizzly, but there's no way they are prettier.

Thanks Kenny
Very Nice Doc, whoops, I mean Kenny ;)

Nice job Kenny.
Update. When I told Jim this bow was going to be available, I didn't have it finished. After finishing it, I was sorry I offered it up. When Jim got it, I asked him to put me on the "First Dibs" list if he ever decided to sell it.
She is now back home where she needs to stay. I'm a happy camper!!
Kenny ya did a great job bro on that onme. But I could have done fine without the winter pics LOL.Happy ya got her back <><
That is a great looking bow!
Gotta love that grizzly design, timeless beauty!
Kenny I should be finished with my own 1959 Grizzly later this week and I gotta tell ya they are one fine looking super fine shooting bow for sure.My 1959 Kodiak is 64" the Griz 62" and there is hardly any difference if any at all.If I were blind folded it would be a hard choice between the two bd
I think the Grizzly's don't get the attention they deserve. Good looking and hard hitting. Very nice shooting bow's. Only makes them better when there is a history behind them. Kenny,
Ya gotta love it when they come back home!
Congrats on getting her back.
Doc, I have yet to shoot a '59 Kodiak due to my Grizzly budget, but if the Grizz shoots just as good I'm happy!
Larry, a good lookin group of Grizzlies. Is the '62 all original? Love the dark handle wrap and the Zebra grain.
Glad to hear this one is officially back home!
Just so everyone knows those are pretty good pictures of Kenny's Grizzly, but they aren't anything like holding that bow in your hand!
ya gotta love em bd (http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii175/bowdocsarchery/grizzlyxxx.jpg) I also added a new set of Al's decals to this one and they came out looking really sweet (http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii175/bowdocsarchery/grizzly019.jpg)
That is sweet, I've got to try and find me a 59 Griz. KY
There is one in the classifieds. Not sure if it's sold. I have one in the same weight and it is a very nice shooting bow.
Hi Kenny
Yep, the 62 is all original. I think it looks even nicer up close. The 58 is 40# and shoots a 475 gn. cedar very sweet. Bear new what he was doing when he made the "working man's" recurve. Bye the way Kenny, Very nice work on that 59. There is some real talented people on this site.
