George is right.
Here is More people that have been Inducted in to the Archery Hall of Fame (http://www.archeryhalloffame.org/inductees.aspx)
George you scare me sometimes. Were you born in a quiver and had a blunt instead of a rattle. You really know your stuff. :archer:
And you are right.
I read of Henry and Babe's adventures in the old "Archery Magazine", many years ago. Her husband, Henry, was the inventor of the Bitzenberger Dial-O-Fletch. I still go back and read those old magazines....and books. Babe was quite the competitor in the forties and fifties.
I knew George would have the answer! Ben
Archery history.com has some really cool pics of archers and old bow concepts. But the tried and true bows of that era are still the ones around today Kinda like you George. Not saying that your that old, but guys like you who have learned from them are the ones that teach us today. Thanks for all your wisdom and knowledge. :campfire:
George,your unreal........
Intersting that she has a freestyle anchor. Was she a site shooter?
Most every archer from that era(mid-20th century) and earlier anchored that way, even for hunting. Just look at the pictures of Pope & Young, Chet Stevenson, Chief Compton, the Thompson Bros, etc.
As for me Ann Marston was the heart throb.
Ann Marston pictures (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&rlz=1T4SNYI_enUS315US315&q=ann+marston&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=EFdWS4PADs7S8Qbgm-W8Aw&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CCsQsAQwAw)
Midge Dandridge was cute too.
If she turned her hand around it would be like Avatar. Any of you guys see that film? that was an interesting style. Nice telephone poles they shot too
