Title: What year kodiak?

Had the gray glass up front and brown on the back? I know this model is from the late the 50's due to it's design but not sure of the exact year.

Looking back thru the old threads posted by Wade Phillips on Bear recognition I think I answered my own? I think it's a "56" due to silkscreens, but it has a very dark wood in the sight window?

Is 53LB rare for a 56 Kodiak Special in the 64" length?
