Sorry, but pics or detail description is needed since Bear's system of numbering was not very good in determining years.

The Grayling SK's were all made from 1967-77.

The kz is a 1970's model. I have a 1970 with a ky serial number. If that bow has a red stripe it is 1973-74, a blue stripe 1975-77.

I thought the SK models were Gainesville bows?

Horney...the SK could be Gainesville, not sure.

My comment should have said "The Grayling Super Kodiaks were all made from 1967-77."  I now see I confused the issue by my reference to "SK".

My '68 begins with 8Z.

My '76 begins with KZ.

The SK is an 2007.

After 2000 the serial numbers all start with the model, then the year, then the production number.  My 2001 Grizzly was BG01xxx and the A riser was TDA05xxx.  Makes it pretty easy to date them.  Can't remember what Bear did in the 90's, but it was a little different
