Anyone know anything about a metal riser, fiberglass limb takedown called the Bush-wacker 1 made by Glas-Lite, RH 50# ?
Roy,
Found this for you...
This is from an article on take-down hunting bow in the July 1972 issue of "Archery World" magazine.

The three-piece Plas/Steel Products Bushwhacker (second from bottom) featured an aluminum riser and fiberglass limbs. It was an economy TD recurve. I've only seen a couple and have never shot one.

I have had several, they made low poundage short youth madels as well as adult models.
I have one hanging in the garage. Bought it for my kids first bow. Back in 1972 I remember a guy in the club I belonged to had a 45 or 50# one. He was just starting in archery. I remember those glass limbs were a little rough to shoot.
They had solid brown glass limbs. Lot of guys used them for bowfishing as they were low end and pretty durable. They are collectable today.
Thanks, I'll see if I have the correct string and check it out..Roy
