Doug I believe thats a FF safe model and the brace should be down around 7 1/4-7 1/2".bd
Doug, Does your 08 riser still have the red tip graying limbs on it? I think they were the limbs that Jim got from me for that bow before he sold it to you. If so I do`nt think that they are FF safe.
Ken both set's of limb's are black with white tip's. dacron only.

Doug, I rarely dispute a point with Don (Bowdoc) but if its a B riser you're talking about, the brace should be 8-8 1/2" in my experience. I don't really know enough about A risers so I couldn't comment safely on those. Grant
"B" Riser 7"-8"
"A" Riser 7.75"-8.75"
that was a trick ? a new A with FF limbs would be 7 1/2 up to 8 1/2.Bit faster arrow speed down around 7 1/2.However if they are red tip limbs 8 - 8 1/2 and for sure no FF strings on those.bd
A handle / Grayling limb's are black with white tips.
Doug
I like to start out around 7-1/2" (throat to the string)by shooting different shafts, and bare shafts. A shaft without feathers, that is too stiff will hit nock left (RT Handed), and nock will be right if it is too weak; even when the feathered arrow seems to fly okay. If I can't get it to fly straight and group, I start raising the string by twisting. Flemish stings are best for this test. However, when you find what works, you may need a different string if you have it twisted too tight. I prefer 2 twist per inch.
You can also add point weight if the shaft is too stiff, or lighter if too weak.
