Found a pretty nice polar the other day. Is this a '59. Nothing on the strike plate. Maybe original feather rest?? Stress lines on the back as usual. Shoots as well as I can right handed.
thanks for any comments.

Love that riser wood! Is that the condition you found it in? The sight window is superb.
I rubbed off some dirt and "residue" of some kind with acetone. Otherwise as i found it. It was "grandad's old bow" ???

stress cracks look worse in the pic but there they are.
Is it a '59?
Great find on that 59!
99% sure it's a 59.
I have been on the lookout for one of those for a while now with no luck. The hand writing looks original but I have never seen that« J» before.

nice bow!!!!!

I have seen this bow in person, and it is a nice one. The one thing I saw that I had a question on was the shelf. There is a bevel on the outside edge of the shelf that looks like it was built in at the factory.
Is that bevel from the factory or a modification? I've only seen flat shelves on Bear Bows, but I haven't seen all there are, and don't have the experience of some folk here.

Nice! I always heard they were good shooters.
I have those bevels on my 1959 Grizzly and on my 1960 Grizzly. 100% factory.
