Title: Another grizzly, what year?
Post by: red44 on July 01, 2009, 01:35:00 PM
Serial number FG571L (the 1 is possibly an I)
62", 44#
Notice that line (crack?) in the end of the limb, would this not be a shooter? I don't own or have the bow, but I'm kinda looking for a 1960, what is this one? Thanks.

1959. The paper micarta tips are a dead giveaway. If the crack does not go through to the other side, it's just a stress line. I would not hesitate to shoot it but I would keep an eye on it in case it gets worst. Make sure the tips are secure and not lifting.

I believe that's a 1959 Griz
It has paper tips so if your thinking of a daily shooter might want to replace them, the crack is a common vertical crack, should be no problem shooting.
Very nice shooting bow
