Thanks a lot, now I have the sickness too.
Made a trade today with a friend for an A riser in the 1500 serial number range. I'm guessing series 1, 1969-70. Black number 1 limbs with the narrow white tips.
That's too many bows in too few months, is there medicine for this sickness?

Yeah...........More Bows....Cant beat it, might as well feed it.
That's a very nice bow!!!!

Take two bows and call me in the morning! :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Very nice! That one looks mint.
that one sure looks sweet. Those are nice nice looking limbs also, little white tips and dimples. Whats the specs. on the limbs? gold ink too? GOOD TRADE! :goldtooth:
I would say one thing for sure. You need to rid yourself of that A riser and limbs as soon as possible. When your in rehab the first thing they tell ya is to stay away from things like A risers and white tip limbs. As your Dr.I suggest to help yourself get better you send that A to me right away. You will feel lots better in the morning...Ph.D.Archer Bowman
Oh how sad.Yet another victim of this terrible, relentless disease. When will we find a cure.
Eye Candy for Sure! I wish you hadn't done it, because I don't have one of those and I do have the sickness. Beautiful Bow thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the medicinal suggestions. It's no wonder folks don't trust doctors!
YB--yes, gold ink...naive budding collector that I am, what's the importance of the gold ink and dimples? And why don't all the t/d limbs have dimples? Specs: A-45, B-43, C-39
It looks like the previous owner drew designs in black marker on the white tips presumably to camo since the limbs were in camo sleeves. What to you think I can use to remove the marker without hurting the tips/limbs or should I just leave them?
In search of the cure....
I need a friend like that.. Saweeet find 4sure.
Gold ink was the earlier limbs.Dimples also indacate earlier limbs maybe even the original limbs take came with that riser. If I were going to try and remove the magic marker I would most likely use finger nail polish remover 100% acetone finger nail polish remover.Good looking bow bowdoc
That is a dandy little riser.
crookedStick, what Bowdoc said. just take your time with the nail polish remover, those tips will clean up just fine. Are the latch bears still there? I see it has the optional accessory bushing. Brace her up and shoot her and let us know if you two get along. Now all you need is an early B and C handle. ;)
Wow - I am JEALOUS
You can have the limbs - but send over that riser anytime :notworthy:
YB--Rest easy, we get along just fine ;) Sent 50 arrows through her tonight and it looks like I have a new favorite. I can only get 9 yards in the garage, but it looks like the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
And yes, it has the latch bears. Now that you mention the accessory bushing, I guess that puts it about 1970 vintage, or did Bear offer those on the early ones too?
BTW, before I knew better I fondled two C handles in the 1700 serial number range and decided the price was too high--unfortunately now I know it wasn't!
Falk--sorry, I don't think that riser wants to leave :D

CS,in 1970 the accessory bushing was optional,in 1971 it became standard. I'm guessing yours was ordered that way in 1970 or it is an early 1971.Hope this helps.
