How common were Rosewood I-Beams on 59 Kodiaks. I know maple is pretty rare, Purple Heart pretty common.
The serial number starts with BE and it's a later model with glass in the string grooves.
Just wondering, Trap
very rare bows with the dark rosewood sight window.
Oh yeah those were not that common at all.I've seen ibeams made of purple heart, northern hard rock maple, brazilian rosewood and bubinga. One of the coolest I've seen is the 1960's with the glass reversed autum orange on the back and dark brown on the belly....ya gotta love em..bowodc
After closer inspection, I think it may be Purpleheart afterall. What do you think?

Yep, purple heart. Looks like a beauty though. I think I remember this one! CKruse
yep, I would say it is purpleheart.
Ye, it just came off the auction site. A couple of very light stress lines on the back of the upper limb. Shoots fine and cleaned up pretty good.
Trap
sweet bow, they are shooters once you replace the limbtip overlays. Nice feather rest too.
