Title: Detroit Bear Flyer - which Year?
Post by: Falk on April 18, 2006, 02:03:00 PM
Hello Bear-Experts!

I would like to know the excact year(s?) of a Detroit Bear "catalog" - which was very recently sold on ebay - going a touch over $1700.-    :readit:
I am quite sure some of you had an eye on that one also. I'm interested in the year(s) when this 16 page flyer was valid.
I would post the direct link to the auction but have in mind that's not allowed on TradGang?! (Not sure whatsoever - maybe someone can inform me how this is handled when an auctions is closed already?) So here are only pics - showing the back and front cover - with some well known silouettes ...!

Thanks, Falk

Falk,That catalog is most likely from 1938.I have one similar to it with the 2611 W.
Philadelphia address on the front, plus it has 39-A on it.It is from 1939.The Burlingame address was before the Philadelphia address.Cool old catalogs.

Thank you John - for bringing light into this one! I payed you credit at my homepage, where I list and comment interesting (IMO) ebay-auctions etc. - related to archery stuff ...
It's all written in German but have a   look (http://www.broadheads.de/news.html)  if you like ... (down on the bottom you'll find a link to the main directory)

Cheers, Falk
