why is keeping the head still so important in the form? what happens if the head moves during draw? or move at all?
My email answer to this question. Worth posting here too I think.
"Your head is the rear sight for the shot. Your string hand needs a solid and still reference to sit against. If your head is is in a different position each shot, then your string hand will be in a different position each shot.
If your string hand deviates 1/8th inch up/down, left/right, or back and forth, the arrow impact is affected by about 8 inches at 20 yards. The head must stay still for consistency."

thanks arne can this cause a collapse or out of alignment?
Arne can answer based on his own experience, but I can tell you that my experience is that moving your head on release is fatal to shot accuracy, and this is a different error than collapse or out of alignment. You have to control all three independently of each other.
What both Arne and McDave said, X2.
Kyle, I'll repeat what I've said before: best to spend some time with your practice, before overthinking all the elements of the shot process. Takes weeks, months, or years... not days, to settle in.
Bear in mind I totally appreciate and relate to your enthusiasm. I chime in as someone just a little farther along in the journey, not an expert... thinking maybe it'll be helpful settling in.
