Title: How to read form issues from arrow nock
Post by: Trond on July 10, 2015, 03:52:00 AM
My arrows hit the target with various nock positions, straight in, high, low, left or right. As long as I know my arrows are correct to my bow, what form issues cause this? My groups are OK, but the only good hits are the ones that go in straight.
How can I read nock positions i regards of form issues?

Trond,

There are as many answers as there are shooters.  There is no set answer that I can give.

What I'd suggest is to video yourself on several shots while noting the arrow orientation in the target (good and bad).  Then try to notice form differences that caused each arrow nock position error.

Take a video of the shot, note the arrow position then see if you can see something in your form that MAY have caused it.  Do it again and see if a pattern shows up.

That is basically what a coach would do, although an experienced coach can probably see the error more quickly.  This would be a good self study/learning experience too.
