Hello all. Trying bare shaft tune my BW PCHX 56" 55@27 recurve. Trying differing length /brands/shafts (Beman MFX, ABS Alaskans). All seems to be hitting left of center w/ mocks kicked to the left..... :knothead: I would think spine wise they would be correct at this weight/ draw length. I also shoot ABS Ashbys so my field points are 315 gr....do I need to do more tuning of my string re:brace height - set at 8 3/8 now. Bow/string are new, maybe 75-100 shots through.....
I'm open to suggestions

The arrow shaft selector on 3rivers archery is a great starting point.
Not sure about the PCH Widows but when I shot MA's , I would shoot a brace closer to 9''.
JMS: You can see what I shoot in my signature below. I have found it likes a brace height of 8 3/4 - 9". I'm not happy with the stretch I'm getting out of my strings... they came with the bow as I bought it used. Noticed a difference while shooting today and checked my brace... it was down to 8 1/2". Adjusted it up to 9" and I was back in business.
Just my experience.
Good luck.
Hey fnshtr
Went back to basics and found 8 7/8 MUCH better. Now showing slightly weak and with fully fletched arrows I'm whacking 10 rings consistently between 18-22 yards....
Fallen in love all over again :archer: :clapper:
APPEARS even a bit better right at 9.....thx Fnshtr  :shaka:
You are welcome... glad you're enjoying shooting. While I want to be accurate enough to hunt, for me it's all about enjoyment. Fun shooter (fnshtr).
