It's time for the annual battle of trying to get my shooting in good shape for elk season. Went down in weight, getting old. Did shoot a 65lb with 630 grain woods. Worked great on elk. Now shooting a 55lb black tail with carbon express heritage 90's, 30" with 175 grain zwickeys. Think I made need more weight, open to suggestions.
Question on quivers. Do you try to balance the weight of the full bow quiver in a certain position on the bow? Centered, etc..
I use several bow quivers...never know which one will be on which bow...for ME...it matters not I recon...never worried about it.
Most issues I see are folks that don't get the attachment below the fade outs.
There may be a better way but I pretty much center my quiver on riser with the straps (great northern) on the inside of the fade outs.
Next part may sound odd but:
Then I fling a few arrows at a bale about 5 steps away, eyes closed.
This really gives me a good feel now for the bow and I can really feel the before and after difference of how the bow performs, and if need be, adjust my grip a little.
With the quiver on there is a much different feel.
