I having some trouble with form and was hoping for some input.
In the shots below I have an upright posture where I feel very comfortable when shooting but, it seems I can't get my right elbow back far enough for proper alignment and I have the occasional arrow that pulls to the left (especially when I start to get tired).
I've tried practicing for several weeks to lean forward a bit to allow my right arm to be better in line. I just found myself leaning different amounts and craning my neck forward, as much as I tried not to, and short drawing. My arrows were all over the target even after weeks of practice to try to find a consistent posture.
Am I way off base on what I think I see? Do you folks agree that my right elbow could come around farther in the below shot and any advice on how to improve my form?
Thanks,
Rick

I recommend that you stand in a natural upright posture, without leaning. Bring the arrow up to your anchor without moving your head. It may be that you need to change your anchor to some other location further back in order to be able to come to full draw.

Thanks for the input. I guess I should have elaborated, that's as far as I can pull my elbow back with good posture. My flexibility just seems to stop at that point. The muscles seem to bunch up and get in the way on my back for lack of a better description.
You are 'leaning back' from the waist....and then leaning forward with your neck....that aint good...might cause a neck injury.
Keep your spine straight in line and just turn your head....
And remember, the elbow just doesn't come straight back....as it to 'final approach'...what aligns you is the elbow coming around...making the elbow route a J instead of a straight line.
Thanks for the advice Terry.
My wife shot that with a 18mm lens and I think the distortion from the wide angle is making my posture look a bit extreme in that shot. My natural posture is a bit leaned back though and I guess it's something I'll need to work on when shooting.
