bought a new bow, shelf is very close to hand. Fletch is cutting me lile razor blades. a friend said my arrows were not of the correct spine. I've been shooting for 40 years, and never had this problem, other than when I was a kid shooting an old lemonwood bow. I hate to build the rest up, but any other advice?
My arrows were hitting my hand last night. I lowered my nock point a bit and the problem went away. My arrows are properly spined though and i think your buddy might not be are off about his spine idea.
I was the opposite of cchef I had to move my nock point up before my trouble went away.
I would play both ways, if a nocking height
change does'nt correct it try some different
(borrowed) spined arrow's?.
You might turn your nock alittle and fix it.
thanks guys, I'll try both and it would not hurt trying to turn nock either.
I too had to move my nock point up a bit to eliminate the same problem. I also built up the rest about a sixteenth of an inch or so as well, although now with the higher nock point not sure it is necessary.
Good luck!
Travis
Moved the nock,up a little, and turned the fletch, and got better results. thanks
