Title: video archery?
Post by: Cyclic-Rivers on January 06, 2010, 09:19:00 PM
I haven't done this for a several years but was curious. Has anyone else had problems shooting high on pictures that seem farther away?

My compound buddies always do well but they always use the same pin (20 yd) and just put it where they want to hit.

I think my problem being instinctive, I compensate for the distance the animal appears and then hit high?  what have you experienced?

I focus on the spot on the screen.  Haven't had a problem.  I can see where it would happen though.

Yeah, that has happened to me, I also want to lead on a running target (the camera moves with the animal to try to keep it centered in the screen and I need to stop seeing it as a moving target) . I guess both issues would go away if I did it more.

Like fireball 31...............

If you just focus on the "spot"......it truly doesn't matter. I just wish they would get one of the really good DART target systems around here. I truly love shooting them, but the intital cost of getting one set up, seems to discourage people from buying them.

Oh well...........3D is a lot of fun also.
