Hey, I'm shooting a hummingbird kingfisher. 62" 50# at 28". My draw is 29". I'm shooting Beman Classics 400s at 30". My total grain is 545 grains. I'm shooting 145 grain tips and brass inserts. My brace height is 7 1/4. And nock point is roughly .5 I just cant hit consistently at all. What am I doing wrong? Please help.
Maybe this is in the wrong forum.. Move if needed sorry.
try bare shafting take feathers off 3 arrows and cut off quarter inch at a time till arrows group in the same spot, with feathered arrows may need to change tip weight , move brace height,or lower nock point, start at 10 yards and go from there,,do only one thing at a time
It may be your form...NOT your arrows.
Go to a 500 spine with brass inserts and 145 grain points and you'll find your groups tighten. With that set up a 400 sine would need full length shafts. Too stiff a spine and the arrows are hitting the riser in an inconsistant manner. I bet you are unknowingly trying to fix the problem mentally with each shot. If you can get a couple of 500 shafts give it a whirl and see what happenes.
I have done a bare shaft and I'm just knocking a little to the right. Can I soften them up with just more tip weight to straighten them out? Also I have noticed on previous post that my form is wack. Not opening chest enough and not rolling the elbow back.
if you are a little right, you are ok if you are right handed ,if you add more weight you will go more right less weight or cut shaft 1/4 inch and that will move impact point closer to the same point of impact..
