I'm looking for something that fits nicely behind a field tip that will contact the bow riser to stop the draw. The kicker is, something that's durable, won't affect arrow flight and do excessive damage to a 3-D target. Anyone make their own, or know someone who markets something?

I like pulling to a solid wall rather than a click. Clickers never really helped my shooting as much as this method. I position my broadhead blades so they act as a stop, would like to get the same effect with a field tip.
Back in the 50's or 60's there was a devise that created the solid wall you're describing. It was basically a cord that attached to the riser and the middle of the bowstring to limit draw length. I'd have to dig through my old magazines to find a picture.
Personally, I'd be a little apprehensive about using the front of the arrow to create a solid wall. It sounds like a good way to pull the nock off the string, and then shoot.
I use a very thin "O" ring to check draw length. When asked what draw length you have, most guys think that their's is longer then it actually is. By placing the ring on the end of the arrow you can feel when it touches your finger. It will also tell you if you are creeping forward at all. The thing is that when checking their draw length they will actually be shooting the arrow and not just drawing it to anchor and letting down. BIG difference. I only use this for measuring draw length but it may work for what your asking. You will loose the rings in the target but they are cheap. Again, I don't use them all the time. I use them myself to recheck my draw length and check to confirm that I'm not creeping at all.

I could see where that might be a problem for someone. Fortunately it has never been an issue for me. I purposely tried to pull the nock off the string a few times just for interest. It's easy for me to tell when that starts to happen. The nock is tight between my fingers and I can feel when it starts to slip. I really don't pull hard on the riser once the arrow touches.
I'm gonna work on something myself. Will post pics if something works out.
I to used to struggle with this, and still do at times. I got a lighter bow and learned to anchor, anchor , anchor. Use your back and get that wall feeling.
In retrospect, I suppose using an 11/32" point on a 5/16" shaft might work out, just to let you know where you are.
Mike, I understand what your saying! I FOUGHT target panic in the 90's and tried all types of draw checks except clickers. As Jason said on another, taboo! Rubber bands, I have had good results with "White man's leather" - electrical tape. Durable and cheap. Maybe a dab of shoo goo or silicon caulk. Best to you and good shootin.
