Title: which arrow should i use?
Post by: michiganbowguy on February 12, 2009, 09:55:00 PM
i have a 50lb super kodiak that i draw 28 inches and arrows cut to 29.5 inches.

id like to shoot the zwicky 170 deltas out of it with aluminums.

would 2117s be a good choice?

what do you think?
this bow shoots all sizes very well as i have a smooth release.

any help would be greatly app.

I was shooting them out of 44# and 45# bows, no problem.  Mine were cut to 29" and draw almost 28".  Killed a deer with an old autumn orange shaft this year.

Years ago, back in the late 60's, most recurves were 43# to 55# at 28". The "Universal" arrow that seem to shoot the best was the 2117. I still shoot them out of all my bows.

2117 should be fine, but I would go with a 2018 or 2020. Thinner diameter shaft and thicker wall! Overall, a stronger shaft. Just my opinion.
