Title: Coming to full draw
Post by: pinecrest on January 22, 2009, 05:54:00 PM
I've noticed lately that when I come to full draw I am watching the arrow point come to the front of the riser and then direct my focus to the target.I group better than if I focus solely on the target.I have a more consistent draw length doing this and that may be the reason for the better groups. Is this okay do be doing or am I headed for trouble?

I would think that if you are improving your shooting by doing something different, then so be it.

I am a better shooter than I was years ago because I have tried different things in the hopes of improving. Some things I have kept in my routine, some I haven`t.

I tried what you described for a while, and eventually just omitted looking at the arrow point. When I draw my bow, I do not pay any attention the the arrow at all. My pea brain has all it can do to just focus on the target.  :D
