Title: setting the gap
Post by: bsigal on December 06, 2008, 02:38:00 PM
I've been watching Masters of the bare bow. They give insructions on how to set the gap, but not when to set the gap.  My question is,

do you set the gap at full draw or prior to drawing?

I set a rough gap before drawing, then at full draw do the final setting of gap...this can all be done very quickly with practice.

I set mine rough gap during the pre-draw process.  When I look at the target, I am looking at the GAP.  When it comes up to full draw and aim, I finalize that distance.

Shoot08S,
I've watched you master's of the barebow segment over and over.  Do you have anything else on DVD or book for me to look at?

Jeff... I think I can speak for Darryl and Denny in saying we are very happy you have enjoyed the Masters series. MOTBB#3 is coming out soon and I had lots more time to get into details about how everyone can improve their shooting.

Awesome.  I need to spend some more time working on my point on distance.  Is it unusual for it to be about 40 yards?

40 yards + or - a little is a pretty common point on for a lot of shooter / bow combinations.

I'm another one that is anxiously waiting for MBB3..  Thanks for all your input, Rod.
