Folks, the Howard Hill Southeastern Classic will be held again at Tannehill Historical State Park, in McCalla, AL, May 31, June 1, 2 & 3, 2018. As you can see, this year will be a four day event.
NOW, let me add that this year WILL NOT be my last year for the HH Classic. I hope to go several more years.
With that said, next year's "HOWARD HILL CLASSIC", not only a slight difference in the title, BUT, there will also be some MAJOR CHANGES!!!
I will be using Rinehart Targets, the winners plaques will have a beautiful new design, there will be "American Traditional Archer" designed belt buckles to go along with the 1st place winners plaques, AND, some OUTSTANDING SURPRISES, coming as well.
See y'all at this year's Howard Hill Southeastern Classic.

For those of you that made this year's Pre-Spring Arrow Fling, because of the rain on Saturday evening, I've carried LOTS of items I was going to raffle or auction over to the HH Classic.
These items, including three bows. One from Northern Mist, Big Jim's Bow co. and Bear archery donated a "Byron Ferguson Patriot".
These items and more will be used to help raise money for the Boy Scout Camp.

Back up for this event.

It is Sam, thanks.
Terry
Great to see a Southern Tradition keep on at a beautiful venue.
I believe after the dust settles on this year's HH Classic, the planning for next year's gonna be exciting as well.

While on the topic of targets especially since it has been mentioned that Rineharts would replace current stock, does anyone know how much steel is used in their construction?
Now Possum Head, how would anyone expect to know that, LOL.
Terry
Terry,
Will winning score be made available?
Is there somewhere the winning score is posted from last month's spring fling?
Thanks.
Terry,
The reason Ol'Possum Head is asking about how much metal is because it seems his arra's finds it quite often.
And somehow the Supreme Leader and Captain of F. R. O. G
Was able to find it too!
It appears these targets have a fair amount that runs low around the belly.
I only know this has I was trying to assist Possum in determining why he kept bending points and such....so I shot where he shoot and sure enough broke a fine specimen of an arra
Kerry, I posted the winners on the "Thnx from the Pre-Spring" thread.
LOL, John, my arrows find rocks, trees, water, sometimes, anything but the target.
Terry Harris
By the way, Kerry, did you come to the Pre-Spring shoot. I can't find where you registered if you did.
Terry Harris
Yes. I didn't enter a score because I was shooting fixed crawl.
I'll look up the scores on the thread you posted on.

Don't forget, because of the weather at this past Pre-Spring Arrow Fling, many of the items, including a Northern Mist Longbow, Big Jim's Longbow and a Byron Ferguson "Patriot", donated by Bear Archery, will be raffled or auctioned of at the Howard Hill Southeastern Classic. Other items will also be included!
All of these proceeds, plus, half of the proceeds from "The Tradition Lives On" signature bow will be given to the local Boy Scout Camp sitting adjacent to Tannehill State Park.
Of course the other half of the proceeds of the signature bow will go to Children's Harbor, which works with chronically ill children.
Terry Harris
Alright folks, I'm nearly halfway there in selling all 1000 tickets for "The Tradition Lives On" signature bow, IMO, this piece of Traditional Archery history. The drawing will be at the Howard Hill Southeastern Classic on Saturday Night right after supper.
There's not much time left to get your and there are still plenty of tickets available.
Remember, two great organizations will benefit from all of the proceeds.
Terry Harris
For those of you that have never been to Tannehill State Park, it's one of the best places I've seen to host an event like this.
Plenty of camping available for campers, three different camp grounds and nearly unlimited primitive camping. Several great motels and restaurants within minutes to the Park. There are three bathhouses in the Park, even a laundry.
Hopefully y'all can make it and then like many, will keep coming back.
