So far, so good.
Posted info on the other site. Edited a classified as SOLD. Will check here to see if this one changed, even though I do not think it did. Posting pics is WAY better!
Ron... editing something on that site doesn't affect this one as it's on a different domain at the moment...
Glad to see these comments..... I'm sure they will be questions cuz I'll have some myself nothing we can all work together in make our new campfire warm and cozy...
Will we be able to delete posts on the new forum? There have been several times when I accidentally quote myself as opposed to edit my post and it would be nice to be able to remove that.
Awesome !
Excited!!!!!!!

If that happens here all you have to do is edit your post
:campfire: :archer2:
So, how does the new method of posting photos work?
Seems to be working pretty well at the moment.
Check your email
:archer: it is pretty easy, intuitive and posting pics, well, I believe there will be a lot more threads with photos moving forward.

"post attachment" is a feature that allows an image (or file) that's on your computer, or tablet, or phone, to be included in your post. whatever the attachment is, typically an image, will reside on the trad gang server, so we will no longer be losing images if an online archive server goes belly up, or radical as in the case of photobucket.
you can still post images from those online services as well, your call.
the attached image can reside as a large thumbnail at the bottom of your post, OR be put INSIDE your post at the location you choose.
you can also post video links inside yer post, such as from youtube.
as an example, here's a partial screen shot from the new trad gang server forum, new powwow board, that shows a post that contains an attached inline image and under it a youtube video ...

Woohooo
So there will be some sort of "post attachment" button?

Yes....
As you post, you will be able to click on a "button" that will allow you to upload (get a picture) from your computer (or cell phone) and paste it into your post. works like a charm!

Really looking forward to the new version of Tradgang. A big Thank you to Terry and Rob !!! Your hard work is greatly appreciated. :notworthy:
Its awesome! Y'all gonna love it.
When is this going happen for the whole gang.

When is this going happen for the whole gang.
it is likely to happen within the next few weeks.
this is a huge undertaking, a complicated process, with a large list of things to be done in specific manners.

there will be daily announcements a week before the live cut.
the actual conversion/migration will take about a week, 7 days - maybe less, not sure at this point but it's best to state worst case.
we've said this before and it's worth saying again - during the cutover, trad gang will remain online. during the conversion process, all new threads and posts will not come over to the new system. there's no way around this.
we hope you'll find the new system relatively easy to navigate, create threads and posts, and use some of its features such as posting images directly from your computer, posting videos, and more than a few other bells 'n' whistles.

we still won't allow members to delete their posts, but as with here in the old forum, you can edit your posts, however there will be a time limit for editing posts, perhaps 30 minutes from when it was created.

there are several options we're contemplating for ads, including a time out.

Just tried and you can edit a double post but not delete it as Rob said. Might come in handy and allow you to type in something intelligent instead of showing the world you have fat fingers. (guilty)
