Title: ILF question
Post by: Gator1 on January 19, 2018, 06:59:00 PM
I have a 14 inch ILF riser on the way

Any idea what Max weight would be with Trad Tech Black max medium limbs at 35 lbs??

Weight at 28 inches.

Thank you

Black Max are rated on a 17" riser, on your  14" about 4 pounds more. If your riser was 21" it would be about 4 pounds less. Rule of thumb.... 1"= 1#,longer less weight.....shorter more weight. That is a ball park stat......it can all change with different limb pocket angles. Hope this helps........

  That is what my wife shoots, a 14" with 30# limbs. She draws 25" and the bow pulls 25# @ 25".

I seem to remember that Morrison changed the pad angle on his risers as they got bigger and smaller to maintain the same draw weight as the riser length on which he rates his limbs. This may affect the 1# gain per inch figure usually mentioned.

Morrison lists their risers as 13" or 15" as I recall.

Yes, I have no idea how I got the idea it was a Morrison riser. Reading things into the post I guess.
