Had a three piece that got too heavy for me as I got older and my shoulder said "no"... eventually sold it. Great bows!!! Would love another lighter version some day.

All around good bows.  Not the quickest, not the slowest, just good bows and built beautifully.  Easy to shoot.

I have had three, two takedowns and a one piece. They were all beautifully made, sweet shooting works of art, well worth your consideration.

I've had a bunch both 1 pc and 3 pc and still have a few. They compare with the GN Critter Getter...both real work horses without the glitter.  I prefer the 1pc as I now like a bowbolt takedown system compared to a 3 pc...just me.

AWESOME sauce !!! Herb is a great guy and like others have said they are work horses built to last. I received a new three pc from him back in February. All Bacote this is my fourth one. Two 3 PC Longbows / 1 one pc longbow and I sold a Ferret Recurve that I should have kept. Can't go wrong with a pronghorn !

Have two (3 pc), a 62" and 55# and 60" that is 58#. Fast, quiet, accurate, and on of the few that can be used without string silencers. Personally, I like the standard in grey/black limbs. The other is Cocobola with bamboo/Osage limbs. I like the lower rest, similar to a longbow, because it points naturally.

I have a three pc., 64" bow.., quiet, smooth as heck to pull, quick, and use small silencers(that's all you need). My #1 bow.

Pronghorn longbows are great shooting bows. They are quiet, and very forgiving. I have two 3pc longbows and two 1pc longbows. My son has a 1pc and my wife has a 1pc.

Mr. Herb is absolutely a pleasure to work with and has a ton of knowledge. Give Mr. Herb a call or send him a email. He will go out if his way to help you.

BUY ONE.   I have. A three piece at 62 inches.  It is my go-to bow as it travels so well.  I modified my seabag to add 10 inches.  Put boots in the bottom, PVC tube in the middle, put clothes around the tube..  last minute bow and arrows in tube, pack on top, close, lock and go

The bow itself is just a workhorse-spoils shafts downrange as easily as dropping the string

I've got to shoot a few at rmsg and they were my favorite 3 piece longbows that I have tried so far. Very nice shooters

Thanks for posting the picture Matt. It's Herb's short handle with his 60" limbs but makes a 58" bow on the short handle. 49# @ 26" it shoots great like all of Herb's Bows. Has to be my favorite bow! I just ordered a one pc to match it. Herb is a very personable Man and easy to work with.   Can't go wrong with a Pronghorn!

agreed,,, one of the best 3 pieces I personally shot! I wont say if it was faster or quieter but I know after I shot it I really wanted one....accuracy was dead nuts for me..

I remember 25yrs ago in TBM nearly 1/2 the success photos used pronghorns..

I have a 3 piece that I bought three years ago at the Colorado Bow hunters. Jamboree.
It is a great bow.  Quiet, quick and beautiful.
The first season I hunted with it I shot a mule deer, and two white tail. The second season I got a coyote and another 2 white tail.. And the third season another white tail.
yup, I like my pronghorn. 62" and 54#
This past season I hunted with my Black widow but have put it away and have been shooting the pronghorn since the season closed

I had a 3 peice for a while, don't remember why I sold it , but have often wished I hadn't.  One of the only bows I have let go that I keep wanting another.

I've always liked the looks of them and wanted one.  That bocote bow posted above is gorgeous.  I think I could just sit and admire it for a bit before taking it out to shoot.

Someone on here has one in GREEN GLASS.  Talk about beautiful....oh my.  If I would get one, it would be very difficult for me to stay away from that all green bow.
Maybe the person that owns it will post it again so everyone can see how nice it looks.

Let me tell ya Larry , from the time I opened the box I have had a grin that sometimes hurts my jaws from looking at my Bacote bow! It is Awesome in every way. Herb's wait time is 3 to 4 months. For anyone wondering.
