Title: Tim 0 coyotes 4
Post by: Thumper Dunker on December 08, 2017, 12:03:00 AM
Went to a 3D shoot on Saturday. After the shoot I had time for a couple of stands. First place I went had two dove hunters.

Second spot . Got all confy and stated with woody woodpecker. About five minutes had four running in on me. At about a hundred yards the one in the back slams

on the breaks' The other three slowed to a stop.  They stood there for a bit ,then the front two came in. One went to my left and one to the right. I can't swing to get the one on the right but The one on the left was going to be easy. He get to 25 yards I start to pull back . Poof He's in mach 12 getting out of there. Too many eyes. Been a while Trying to get my groov back. Still fun.

Can't help but wonder if you remembered to get advice from the dog.

Hope he's still around...

Maybe the word's got around among the ones that aren't dead that you're back at it!  I'll ask a dumb question here because you'll know the answer.  I know the woodpecker is very popular on the e-calls, but why?  I'd think ol' Wile E. would consider one a long shot and not worth the calories burnt to investigate.

Was not sounding like a wood pecker I was doing woody wood pecker. ka ka cha cha cha_  ka ka cha cha cha   _   cha cha cha.  Sounds goofy but it works.

Lol, now I get it.  Woodpecker is what the button on my call is labelled...maybe if I'd tried it a time or two I wouldn't take things so literal!
