Title: Hog hunt recommendation
Post by: Ulysseys on December 01, 2017, 08:21:00 AM
Anyone have a Florida hog hunt recommendation for a trad friendly place?  Been on my list for awhile and it might be time to get it done.

Two ideas:  There is a hog hunt in southern Georgia up for auction right now on the PBS auction   http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=258;t=000071;p=1#000011

You won't beat Hoppy Kempfer's operation at Osceola Outfitters near Melbourne (but St. Cloud address). I have hunted there with friends every year now for at least 14 years.  Extremely trad friendly hunt on 25,000 acre family owned cattle ranch. Only problem is getting a date since most hunters he has have been going for years like me and just rebook every year--but you can try.

Wild Things is not far off I-95 in SC, and the swamps are like that of FL...that would save you probably 6 hours of driving(one way, 12 both ways).  And, you will NOT find a better camp and atmosphere that Wild Things.
