Just curious if any of my fellow ky hunters have had any luck ?
Heard ehd was found in Kentucky? Thinking of taking my son down for youth season if everything is ok.
I connected this afternoon. Lots of movement. My favorite time of the year!!

Check the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife website for details on EHD. Eastern KY has been hit the hardest.

did you do anything for prevention? Not trying to degrade, just curious if it didn't work.
Good going Warden, congrats !
Double last night. This farm has way to many deer. Unbelievable damage to the soybeans.

nice shooting!
Man that Schafer's getting a work out! Went to my dad's cabin last weekend in Eastern ky and the ehd is taking a toll on the deer there. Found a fawn in the back of the yard dead and a decent 8 point by the pond about 50 yards away. Good shooting!
EHD hit Easten Kentucky hard. The central part of the state where I hunt has been good so far.
Great shootin Richard!
Congrats on the double Richard!!!!
Bisch

Lol dang Richard... congrats again!!
Lol way to go, man can you shoot, congrats again
Warden Richard, wow!
You are on a Hot Streak!
Question on the picture of the double the larger bottom doe has a chest wound and a leg wound on the same side.
Please explain the process of what happen on that shot? I'm amazed on how that would happen, unless she turned and contorted extremely?

Great attention to detail!! When the deer came in its body language indicated she was on edge. In preparation for that I held a little low. My shot (20 yards) went where I was looking, but the deer never moved. Low hit!! I hate that, but the deer ran parallel to my stand. This allowed me a second shot and I held dead on and got a great hit. I got lucky on that one!!
Well done sir!
As for details it go with my job I guess, my wife would rather I left it there at times :knothead:

Been on a quest to kill a big 8 and I have been passing does. That's just not like me  so when this girl started down wind yesterday morning I couldn't resist.
Congrats
Yup congrats again brother!! You a machine
The deer herd in Southeastern Ky has taken a catastrophic hit from EDH/Blue Tongue this year. Therefore, many hunters have elected to sit this season out, my self included. The much needed cool weather has brought relief though.
So, I will spend my woods time in pursuit of a Thanksgiving bird.
Congrats everyone. Bummmer Recurve 7 I wouldn't wish that disease on anyone (or deer)
