I shot this with my ILF 3-d bow today at 50 yards. It's just nice to see improvement. I just wish I could do this consistently.

Not bad.........not bad at all !!!
Thanks, Ron. A 17 on a field target at 50 yards is probably as good as I can shoot.
Good shooting! I take one 50 yard shot at a small balloon every time I go out to shoot. If I miss it I move up to 40 yards, 30 etc. In my last 9 sessions I've not hit it from 50. Usually get it first shot from 40. Just something I do for fun.
50 seems several times more difficult than 40.

Great routine! Love it!
Very nice shooting! I don't think that I would be able to hit the target, let alone get a group!!!!!
If I had a good back stop maybe I'd give it a try.... maybe!
I think I could take you with my .243 :bigsmyl:

You might surprise yourself, sir.

Sandbagger....that 17 is as close to a 19 as I've ever seen!
I'd call that a decent group at 20 yards!

You're right, Dave. So close to a 19. Only counts in horseshoes and... until you shoot it, it doesn't matter. LOL.
That's some good shooting! I've never tried to shoot over 30 myself and very rarely do that.
Thanks, buckeye!
That's impressive! I shoot 30yds every morning before I go work and sling a couple at 40, I feel good when those two at 40 are near the middle of the bag, rarely would I call it a group! LOL! When they do land together in the middle I leave them till lunch just to admire them!
Wow. I didn't know my arrows would go that far. LOL :bigsmyl:

:biglaugh: I know what you're saying. When I end up spraying the arrows on the target, I usually pull the outter ones first, then pull the ones closest to the bullseye or I pull the ones loosely resembling a group last.
Great shooting, and with vanes
I can shoot out to 65 on one of my target butts. Very humbling, and reminds me why I strive for hunting shots at less than 20 yards, preferably 10. ;)

Yup, me too. My hunting distance limitation is going to be under 15 yards.

Thanks. Yes, I began using vanes on my 3-d, ILF bow so I wouldn't have issues with shooting in the rain. I like using them so much, I took one of my hunting bows and tuned arrows with vanes for hunting in inclement weather. The arrows shoot great out of my hunting bow, so I'm pleased. Most of the time, though, I want to focus on killing a deer with my longbow & wood arrows.
Very good group.
