Title: Pearson Colt 7070
Post by: Rick Wiltshire on August 25, 2017, 01:45:00 PM
I finally got around to refinishing Colt 7070 I picked up a few years ago as a project bow. I put phenolic and hardwood tip overlays on, and I am using a low stretch string - this thing is a shooter.

I have never really liked recurves, but I am having fun with this bow.  I am thinking it may well be my go to bow this season    :)

Many of the old Pearson bows are underrated and overlooked IMO.  The Colt was a "cheap" bow, but a great shooter.  Main drawback (as with any old bow) was the lack of reinforced tips making it "Dacron only".  Bet the one you fixed really is a shooter!
